Launched in 2015, Mrs. O’s Library is a way for me to share what I learn with school librarians and library technicians. I like to write about ideas, books, and the occasional #libraryhack that will make life easier. I also examine current practices and what it takes to be #futureready. I have presented at the school, district, and state levels in Texas and North Carolina.
Elementary and middle school libraries (PreK-8th grade) have been my home for the past 14+ years. Before that, I took a break from teaching middle school reading to work on and receive my Master's in Library Science degree from the University of North Texas.
When I’m not reading one of the 5-7 books I typically have going at once, I fill my time by hiking with my husband and watching movies with my family. I also curate the Instagram page Great Library Displays so that libraries of all types can share their great displays with the rest of the world.
Say “hello” to me on Instagram or Facebook. I would love to connect and get to know you better!
